Air Canada was ordered to refund a passenger due to misleading information provided by its chatbot about bereavement travel policy. The chatbot incorrectly advised the passenger to book a flight and seek a refund within 90 days, contrary to the airline's actual no-refund policy for such bookings. After a complaint to Canada's Civil Resolution Tribunal, the passenger won the case. Air Canada must refund 50.88 CAD from the ,640.36 CAD fare, including interest and tribunal fees, for failing to ensure the chatbot's accuracy.
