OpenAI's DALL-E 3 will soon include watermarks in its image outputs to show they were created by AI. These watermarks are part of efforts by the Coalition for Content Provenance and Authenticity (C2PA) to make it easier to tell if content is AI-generated. Images will have both visible symbols and invisible metadata to indicate their origin. The update aims to maintain image quality and size while enhancing digital trustworthiness. This move follows broader industry and government interests in marking AI-generated content, although concerns remain about the ease of removing or bypassing these markers.
